Pohjanmaan Talotekniikka calculates around a hundred projects a year using the JCAD software. When preparing an offer, you often cannot yet be sure who will win the competition. That is why it is important that the calculation process goes smoothly and without errors.

Pauli Annola, who is responsible for calculating the offers, doesn’t need to think long when he is asked about the best aspects of JCAD. 

– In my opinion, the biggest advantage is that you can do the material quantity calculations anywhere. This, along with the fact that you can clearly see what you have put where, he says.

Before starting to use the JCAD software, he would calculate bids by hand. When we asked how much time the software has save him, Annola responded that the benefit is especially visible when doing the material quantity calculations for plumbing.

– The steps are sped up a lot when you don't have to print anything and there is a list of the material quantities.

For the CEO, Jukka Myllylä, it is important that their tools are up to date.

– It is our principle to only use the best software in the field. It makes our work easier and things run smoothly, explains Myllylä.
